AndMine is one of the leading software development companies in Australia. From SME, enterprise businesses to government and NGOs, we ensure usability, technical and platform development targets are met. We provide software solutions that solve both functional challenges and deliver intuitive and aesthetic user experiences. We place high emphasis on staged, cost-effective developments that can be tested live.

At Andmine, we start with all projects by looking commercially and critically  at the project brief, staff resourcing, investment and ongoing maintenance costs. Software development is always measured against all available options, including out-of-the-box systems and what can be built with development frameworks, all to reduce development work.

Reduce Costs, Keep Functionality

Custom software is often times over-promised, under-delivered, comes with hidden costs and fraught with technical and commercial traps. This is where AndMine differs. Our software development team will look at how exisiting platforms can be leveraged and configured before proposing to develop everything from the ground up. More often than not, there is a solution that can get us months, if not, years ahead, with little compromise on functionality. So why spend more than 90% of the effort on less than 10% of the functionality? Of course, a ground-up build may still be necessary after conducting an initial research, but there are often unforeseen technical challenges.

We also look to integrate application tools and customise bespoke modules from open-source and paid licence providers. This approach saves our clients $10,000s to $100,000s without compromising on functionality.

Our Custom Software Developments are built using a 4-phase approach. The first being Functional Specification. Next, we break it down into the following strategic components:

Configure, Integrate, Customise CRM

Configuration

It can be the base server, technology stack, framework, integrated modules or a combination of all. But the configuration and setup of the development is key to building a robust product that will minimise costs and maximise life-cycle. We plan in pre-testing, automated testing, and benchmark testing alongside UAT plans, all to ensure the systems are in place and to minimise computational overhead.

Integration vs Convergence

AndMine always look to integrate up to a handful of external modules to extend the functionality of any custom software development. However, there is a limit to the integration of all the benefits that industry modules can offer. We avoid over-integration, as it can become a huge maintenance problem with lack of visibility, especially when the tools are under-supported. We also avoid smaller modules with little market penetration. At AndMine, we look to purchase the codebase of an external system, and to converge the modules into a single custom software development. A good example of this is UX; something that can either bring huge extra costs to a project or plugged in off the shelf for little cost.

We also aim for ideal convergence while minimising integrations. This builds in ownership of custom software developments, which will sit with the client as an asset.

Complete Software Customisation

While all our custom software developments leverage the aforementioned configuration, integration and convergence strategies, there is also no limitation to what you can build with AndMine, as long as it meets our agreed commercial expectations.

We’ve been configuring, integrating and coding custom software developments for over 2 decades. Custom Software development is one of the most challenging parts of technology today, but it can also return enormous value. Talk to us and we’ll ensure you avoid costly mistakes and have honest, ‘grounded in reality’ discussions from the first call.

Testimonials

Michael and his team have just launched our new website and the team at AndMine have been professional and a pleasure to deal with. From the very start, it was evident that Michael was able to deliver a first class website and gave great advice about social media and other tools we need to consider, given the nature of our business. After several design phases, we worked closely together and achieved a result that we are very happy with. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending AndMine for web and online marketing related services.
