Skincare FMCG Packaging Design

With marketing efforts exploding across social media platforms, there is no better time to stand out in the market and capture the attention of potential consumers. However, while your budget may go towards clickbait copy and engaging videos, what most brands AREN’T exploiting is their design. Whether it be a well established company or a startup, product design can communicate a brand’s unique identity and vision. Colour, shape, materials can all contribute in telling the consumer how to feel and communicate ideas which are key to recognition.

Introducing Woodsman Skincare

First launched in 2017, Woodsman Skincare wanted to create a premium and reasonably priced skincare range to optimise men’s health. They believe that inflated pricing and a plethora of chemicals are all too common in the men’s skincare market today. Aware of the danger of these chemicals and a passion for overall well being, the brand was born with an aim to deliver effective, cruelty-free, vegan products that work at reasonable prices. They also express the desire for men to embrace their individuality with confidence, or in other words “come face to face with your face”.

Portraying Vision With Design

While this company has clearly secured their identity, they believed their packaging needed a refresh to better reflect this. When Woodsman Skincare came to Andmine, what they wanted was something that looks more premium, luxurious and manly. Indeed, they wanted to portray luxury in simplicity  – why shouldn’t simple, chemical free ingredients feel luxurious? So, Andmine got to work in creating a design we believed reflected this vision. A darker bottle, simple salmon label, wood below the pump for that extra touch certainly gives these products a manly and luxurious feel. To finish it off, we added a high quality shine for a more ‘premium’ look.

The Outcome

Andmine has thoroughly enjoyed working with Woodsman Skincare and greatly respects the beliefs surrounding their brand, which we are confident is now better portrayed by their packaging. We are eager to see the continual success of Woodsman Skincare and truly believe they are a brand to watch out for.
