NewSouthern Capital is an investment company that is developing a new residential community in Melton South. The brief to &Mine was to come up with a name, branding and website identity to promote home sales.
From multiple discovery sessions with the client, &Mine conceptualised ‘Willow Brooke’ as the name for this community. The name was derived from the history of Melton South as a resting place for settlers on their way to the goldfields in Ballarat, and an ode to the historical park ‘The Willows’. ‘Your Future Starts Here’ is the tagline that accompanies the name.
&Mine designed a new logo that alludes to the Willow tree and the parklands surrounding Willow Brooke, with a singular leaf and classic typography. The colour palette is a subdued green and offwhite, with a bright shade of orange making up the secondary colour palette and used in call-to-actions in print and digital. Technically the site is built over a core CMS allowing easy updates as the project progresses for the client and land sales – and of course we rely on Mobile First design iterations to drive the project style and aesthetic, as most buyers are looking on their phones these days (well over 50%).
The brief was also to showcase Willow Brooke as a new way of living – with well built homes for young families or investors, nearby amenities and nature in Melton South. This is incorporated through a seamless navigation, reflecting a very sleek and refreshing feel with a lush green and orange colour palette with images to accompany the offerings of Willow Brooke.
