&Mine has worked together with the Parenting Research Centre to create and restructure a new, innovative and clean design for their new website.
One of the main challenges of the redesign for &Mine was how to clearly expand on the visual aspect of how the website was originally laid out. This was amplified to be more modern and enjoyable to navigate, but still contain key factors of the website’s focus of being informative.
This project was also to improve engagement from a wide array of the target audience with existing aspects of the old website implemented into the new one. From parents to researchers, it was essential to fully utilise the website as an online guidebook while maintaining WCAG standards. There was also an element of consolidation – a tagging system, that would continue to allow Parenting Research Centre to group and sort content according to their audiences, work or services with ease.
Working with Parent Researching Centre’s existing logo and colours of purple and orange, &Mine was able to establish a refreshing, bold and standout layout for the front of the website, while ensuring that the backend of the website was easy for management and content population. Transferring the website with as little down time as possible was also a huge implementation on both ends for a smooth transition.
One of the new additions was a custom events management option – allowing news updates and signs up for new events run by Parenting Research Centre. There’s also a shop function too, which can be switched on through the CMS.
