Google shopping is now global shopping. Once you press any keyword about a product and the very next minute you will be buying it even from the continent away from yours. Nowadays it’s easy to see the products with detailed information, price tags, and other attributes. Just search with a keyword you want to buy or sell and Google will give you the thumbnail list right away. Prime thing to enter in this e-commerce is to make Google Merchant Account. This is similar to other tools like Google Analytics or Webmaster Tools. But specific for Google Shopping Data and Feeds., here is the quick shot on how to do that. We’ll be releasing more on Google feeds, how to install and how to optimize as well. Look out for those articles on AndMine.com
If you don’t have a verified Google account yet, create the account and sign up for Google Merchant to get your products featured in Google Shopping.
Sign in with a Google account and provide all the required information about your business including your business name, business country-based, and website URL of your business and continue to proceed for the next step.
Go to the About your business page under Business information. Then enter your website URL and save it.
You have to verify and claim the website to own the ownership of the website. The only account that verifies, will get to be claimed. Go to the Website tab next to the About your business tab.
There are 4 methods available to verify the website:
1. Add HTML tag: Add the provided HTML code to the index page of your website.
2. Upload HTML File: Download the HTML File and upload it to your server.
3. Connect through Google Tag Manager.
4. Via Google Analytics: Make sure your GA global site tag is set up to verify via Google Analytics.
Go back to Google Merchant Center, click the Claim button. Voila! Your Google Merchant account is now ready for a go. The next step is to submit the product feed. The product feed is the file that includes your product list with its details that google needs to display, advertise and compare. Optimizing the feed and getting more conversions will be the steps to be done next.
