1. Purpose
At Andmine, we are committed to operating with integrity, transparency and accountability. While we are not required to report under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), we proactively align with its principles to ensure our operations and relationships remain free from exploitation.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
• All Andmine team members (employees, contractors, consultants)
• Third-party service providers engaged by Andmine
• Subcontractors acting on Andmine’s behalf
3. Binding Employment Terms
All employees of Andmine are contractually bound to this policy. They are expected to uphold high ethical standards and raise any concerns related to labour practices or working conditions.
4. Oversight & Accountabilit
The Managing Director is responsible for:
• Personally vetting all team members, suppliers, and contractors
• Maintaining oversight of compliance with this policy
• Reviewing all active relationships periodically to confirm alignment
5. Vetting & Due Diligence Process
All third-party engagements are informally but deliberately screened to ensure:
• All work is voluntary and legally compliant
• Workers are fairly compensated
• There is no evidence of coercion, deception, or poor working conditions
• No subcontracting occurs without disclosure and approval
Andmine primarily engages known Australian-based suppliers and professionals. If there is any concern or uncertainty, this policy is shared, and acknowledgment of its standards is required before continuing the relationship.
6. Risk Awareness
Although our services are delivered primarily by skilled professionals in Australia, we remain vigilant. We look for red flags in contractor arrangements and supply chains, including:
• Non-transparent work conditions
• Unusual employment structures
• Any hints of exploitation or unfair treatment
7. Incident Response Protocol
If a modern slavery concern or allegation arises:
• The engagement is paused immediately
• A review is conducted with the involved party
• If necessary, the relationship is terminated and reported to authorities
8. Ongoing Commitment
This policy is reviewed annually and shared with new team members and contractors. Ethical conduct is a core part of how we do business.

Add Your CommentThe &Mine team is great to work with and went beyond the brief to deliver a family violence website which was both engaging and easy to use. The team is collaborative, understand the constraints and sensitivities of a government environment and work alongside you to develop creative and practical solutions and ideas. Stakeholders have only had positive feedback about the website including with comments such as the best government website I have seen.
